Clinical Counsellor | BA (Hons), BSW, MSW, RSW, RCC, CD
Lisa’s primary work is in addictions treatment, as well as sexual and mental health. She has extensive training in ISTDP, and behavioral approaches such as CBT, DBT and ACT. This makes her highly effective working with mood disorders such as anxiety, depression and pain which can all contribute to unhealthy coping behaviours. Her range of skills makes her a very direct clinician. Lisa encourages her clients to realize their full potential as she empowers them to discover their authentic self.
Lisa has many years of experience working with diverse populations including LGQBTIA communities. Honesty and transparency coupled with confidentiality are the cornerstones of her practice. She works with individuals, couples and families/supports, helping them overcome elements of adversity.
A devout educator, Lisa is one of a few Stewards of the Children (SOTC) facilitators available in BC, and is available (upon request) to teach this valuable program. SOTC is an adult training program intended for childcare professionals, to help them raise awareness and understand how to prevent childhood sexual abuse.
Due to her current clinical commitments, efforts to accommodate daytime appointments can be made though e-mail.
